October'2008

In the month of October 2008, many things happened. Worth to note down some of them for future memories

1. Wife ankle pain, go for X-ray and seek specialist advise. Luckily it is controllable ... :o|

2. Ask Terrance to review my home's Feng Shui, take his advise and make some changes ... :o|

3. GoDirect project - work on RTB, RO on both manual and IDoc orders. Both the functional and technical specification contain a lots of loophole and incomplete-ness. I have hard time to complete the deliverables. Got to work until midnight, make many calls to seek for clarification. Sorry to disturb my counter-parts in San Jose during his resting time. Feel stress-full with this project ... :_(

4. Glad to see Ke Xin shows positive result in her study... :o)

5. Bought new HP desktop (Pavilian Slimline) worth $3000 (with additional 2 RAM + wireless router + 5 years extended warranty). Monthly installment, split into 12 months with 0% interest. Every month i pay around $250 which is affordable ... :o)

6. Wife's car broke down due to pump wrong petro, she pump-in diesel... :o(

7. My car tyre air leak, tube cannot be patched - got to change new one... :o(

8. TSMC AP Automation roll-out to production with issues, new scenarios emerge with no alert, busy fixing the codes to accommodate those new scenarios... :o(

9. Bought RMVB player worth $250 from PCDepot, this wonderful device allow me to simply plug in my thumb drive loaded with RMVB files and directly connect the player into TV via  VRL wire (red/yellow/white), that's simple ... :o)

10. Mom agreed to loan me 12K to settle my homeloan owe to bank, i will re-pay her back in 24 months with yearly interest rate @ 4% which is about $50 per month, what a good deals. Bank charge me interest 5.65% p.a calculated on daily basis. I would rather pay the interest to mom than to bank. Though agreed interest is 4%, i would willing to pay at 5%. This help me to relief a bit on the homeloan, thanks mom! ... :o)

11. Bought education plan for In Xiu via UniAsiaLife agent. It is an investment-link plan, i suppose to pay monthly $200 base-on cost averaging principle. But the agent make it annual payment term, which mean i have to pay $2400 for the first year. What a stupid payment term, i lose the opportunity cost and pay at a higher cost for the unit i bought at the beginning. Really feel TL to that agent. Complaint this to him, it is common sense that investment-link plan suppose with monthly payment terms for cost averaging, that's mean you buy the unit at the cost of every month where the unit price go. I asked for a changed to monthly payment term but was told that i can only change the payment term to 12 months one year after, damn! ... ):[]
